Warranties in writing

30-year panel performance, 12-year panel product, 10-year inverter and 5-year workmanship warranty.

Panel and inverter warranties come from the makers; workmanship from each partner.

Only SEDA-registered installers

Every partner holds a SEDA Registered PV Service Provider licence, and we show the number on your quote.

SuRIA rebate: RM600 per kW, up to RM3,000, for systems commissioned with TNB by 31 December 2026, while the RM150 million allocation lasts. Ask your installer if your timeline can still make it.

Approval takes about 2 to 3 months, so new sign-ups now will likely miss 31 Dec. Keep as information only; remove after 31 Dec 2026.

How solar works in your home

Four stops, from the roof to the TNB meter. This is the layout every Solar ATAP home uses.

  1. Panels on your roof

Tier-1 620 W panels turn sunlight into power from morning to late afternoon.

  2. The inverter

A Huawei, Sungrow, Solis or GoodWe inverter turns it into power your home can use, and reports to an app.

  3. Your appliances first

Fridge, aircon and lights run on solar before anything is bought from TNB. Power you use yourself saves the most.

  4. The TNB meter

Extra power goes out through a two-way meter and is credited at 27.03 sen per kWh. Unused credit does not carry to next month, so the system is sized for what you use.

Is solar right for your home?

We would rather tell you now than sell you a system that does not pay back.

A good fit if

  • You own a landed home: terrace, semi-D, bungalow or townhouse
  • Your bill is above RM300 to RM400 a month
  • Your roof gets sun most of the day
  • You plan to stay 5 years or more

Not a good fit if

  • You live in a condo or apartment
  • You rent the home
  • Your bill is under RM250 a month
  • Your roof is heavily shaded or due for replacement

Common questions

Straight answers, no sales talk.

How much will I save?

For a home paying RM500 a month, a 6.2 kWp system keeps about RM265 a month. It depends on your roof, shade and when you use power. Use the bill estimate above, then your installer confirms it on site.

What is Solar ATAP?

The scheme that replaced NEM on 1 January 2026. You use your solar power first. Extra power goes to TNB and is credited at the energy charge, 27.03 sen per kWh, in the same billing month. Credit that is not used that month is lost, so the right size matters more than a big system. The contract runs 10 years.

How long does it take?

1 to 2 days on the roof. From booking to your new two-way TNB meter is usually 6 to 10 weeks, because of the TNB check and SEDA paperwork.

Can I pay monthly?

Yes. Most partners take 0% card instalments up to 24 months, bank green loans and Islamic financing (Bank Islam, Maybank Islamic, CIMB and others). EPF cannot be used for home solar.

What warranty do I get?

Panel performance 30 years and panel product 12 years from the maker, inverter 10 years, and 5 years on the installation work from your installer. All in writing with your quote.

Will the roof leak?

A good installer lifts the tiles, fixes hooks to the roof beams and seals around them, or clamps onto metal roofs without drilling. Ask for the roof method and a leak warranty in writing. Our partners include both.

Does it work on cloudy days?

Yes, at a lower level. Malaysia's sun all year keeps the yearly total strong even in the monsoon. At night your home runs on TNB power as usual.

What does SuriaSave cost me?

Nothing. The installers pay us for the introduction. You pay only the installer you choose, and only if you go ahead.

Can I still get the RM4,000 SolaRIS rebate?

No. SolaRIS ended in April 2025. The current rebate is SuRIA Home: RM600 per kW, up to RM3,000, for systems commissioned by 31 December 2026 while the allocation lasts.
